On the personal side, we are a large family loving life here in the Sandhills. Our big kids attend school while I balance working and caring for our littlest ones at home. We also operate a small farm on our little acreage near Vass. We grow some of our own fruits and vegetables (and LOVE the wild blackberries that grow everywhere here!) as well as harvesting our own pastured pork, goat milk, and eggs.
When I'm not photographing my amazing clients, you can usually find me driving my kids somewhere or trying to catch up on the never ending to-do list that comes with managing a family, farm, and photography business! I wouldn't trade it for the world.

I'm Amy, your photographer at Amy Lachney Photography. I fell in love with Newborn Photography way back in 2010 when I was pregnant with my first baby. Seeing the cute squishy poses and the giant bows and flowers made me so excited for my own little one to arrive! I started my own photography journey way back in 2013, taking in all the photography and posing education I could get my hands on. I officially opened for business in 2016 after the birth of my 4th baby. Throughout the years my style has grown and evolved from bright and colorful to really honing in on capturing the essence of brand new babies with my current clean white studio set-up. I've had commercial studio space in the past, but as a busy mom of (soon to be) six, I've loved having my current space in my home. My studio is casual and comfy and I love welcoming clients into my home as I get to know their sweet babies and older kiddos.
